BTS’s track “Normal” has made a comeback on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the U.S.
Billboard, the leading American music publication, revealed in its latest chart (dated August 1) that “Normal,” a song from BTS’s fifth studio album Arirang, has re-entered the main singles chart Hot 100 at No. 33.
The song initially debuted on the Hot 100 at No. 41 on April 4 and held its position for three weeks. Its recent surge in popularity seems to have been sparked by the release of its music video and Korean audio version on July 17.
Arirang also climbed to No. 9 on the main album chart, Billboard 200, marking a remarkable 17-spot jump from the previous week – the biggest leap on this week’s chart. Notably, BTS has now spent a total of 13 weeks in the Billboard 200’s top 10, extending their record for the longest-charting album by a Korean artist.
The group’s success continued on the global charts as well. “Normal” reached a new peak at No. 4 on the Global 200 and secured the No. 2 spot on the Global (Excluding U.S.) chart. The title track “Swim” landed at No. 10 and No. 5 on these respective charts.
Since their 2013 debut, BTS has released chart-topping hits like “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance,” cementing their status as a global pop phenomenon. Following a brief hiatus, they dropped their fifth studio album Arirang in March and are currently electrifying audiences on their world tour.
