Hollywood star Tom Cruise’s daughter with ex-wife Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise, has officially changed her name to Suri Noelle.
On Monday, Page Six, a prominent U.S. entertainment outlet, reported that Suri has legally distanced herself from her estranged father, Tom Cruise.
The report reveals that Suri enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University under the name Suri Noelle. This registration in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, confirms it as her legal name.
Interestingly, no records of a separate name change application were found in Allegheny County. This has led to speculation that Suri might have filed for the name change in New York, where she resided with her mother, Katie Holmes, before starting college. Noelle happens to be Katie Holmes’s middle name.
Tom Cruise tied the knot with actress Katie Holmes, 16 years his junior, in 2006. The couple welcomed Suri that same year but divorced in 2012. Since then, Suri has been living with her mother. The young Cruise developed a passion for musicals during her high school years and is now pursuing a major in musical theater.
