Stray Kids, the popular K-pop group, recently addressed questions about their potential Grammy Awards submission. The group expressed their desire to share heartfelt music with a wider audience, carefully avoiding a direct response to the Grammy inquiry.

On Thursday, the group held a press conference at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, at 2:00 p.m. (Korean time) to celebrate the release of their new mini-album, THIS & THAT.

Stray Kids is set to drop THIS & THAT and its title track on Friday at 1:00 p.m. (Korean time). Following their groundbreaking achievement last year as the first global artists to top the Billboard 200 chart for eight consecutive weeks with their SKZ IT TAPE DO IT, fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating this new project.

During the event, when asked about their Grammy submission, member Seungmin tactfully sidestepped a direct answer. Instead, he emphasized the group’s dedication to their musical journey and their commitment to their artistic vision.

Seungmin elaborated that its music stems from our genuine emotions rather than external pressures. It’s incredibly grateful for the global love K-pop receives as a major genre. Realizing the music’s impact on so many people reinforces the power of what it does. The goal is to continue creating and sharing our musical journey with as many listeners as possible.

True to its name, THIS & THAT showcases Stray Kids’ versatility and well-earned confidence. This new release aims to further demonstrate their broad musical range, offering everything from refreshing summer tunes to high-energy tracks. Fans can expect a diverse collection of songs, each with its own unique temperature, promising an engaging listening experience.

The album, entirely produced by the group’s in-house production team 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han), features an array of distinctively charming tracks. These include the pre-release single “RUN IT,” which the group considers quintessentially SKZ,”‘FARMING,” inspired by the internet meme aura farming,’ the breezy “AFTER YOU,” the 2000s pop-influenced “I DO,” the multilingual “WAY OUT,” and “THE DAY,” inspired by a television (TV) drama. The album also includes a lively festival version of the title track “THIS & THAT.”

In anticipation of the new album, Stray Kids launched their latest world tour RUN IT with shows at Seoul’s KSPO Dome on July 25-26, 29, and August 1-2.
