The restructured ENHYPEN, now a six-member group, has made a bold return, confidently declaring this as their career-defining moment.

On Thursday afternoon, ENHYPEN held a press conference for their mini-album THE SIN: BLISS at the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon Grand Ballroom in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

This marks ENHYPEN’s comeback after a seven-month hiatus since their January mini-album release. During this time, they’ve been preparing for their new album while performing at various venues, including their world tour and Comic-Con.

Niki expressed his excitement, saying that it’s truly an honor to showcase a fresh side of themselves to the ENGENE fans. Jay exuded confidence, stating that they’re proud to call this album the career best and are certain it will reward the patient fans.

The group underwent a significant change in March with Heeseung’s unexpected departure, reforming as a six-member ensemble. Jungwon reflected on the challenging period that just days after the restructuring, it had a show in Australia. Knowing the fans judge them based on the stage presence, it focused on maintaining professionalism and delivering the best performance.

He added that since the Australia concert, they’ve been immersed in album production, constantly discussing how to create the best possible outcome.

THE SIN: BLISS is the second installment in the sin-inspired THE SIN series, exploring the journey of lovers who break taboos and choose to escape.

Jay described it as a concept album where the narrative, lyrics, and sound are seamlessly interconnected, much like the previous work. Listening to the narration track followed by the music will immerse you in the vampire society. It’s also thrilled to have contributions from actor Park Jung-min and announcer Kim Soo-ji.

Despite the team restructuring and hectic schedule, Jungwon emphasized their unwavering unity that its mindset has remained constant throughout. This being the first album as a six-member group, it focused intensely on the quality of the output, from recording to performance, rather than dwelling on the changed lineup.

The title track “Bloody Paradise” features Brazilian funk, juxtaposing a desperate situation with the lovers’ inner turmoil, embodying the paradoxical title. Julia Lewis, known for producing Bad Bunny’s “DtMF,” lent her expertise to this track.

Sunghoon, who ventured into Brazilian funk, remarked that this is a departure from the usual style. He previously experimented with Brazilian funk in his remix of Knife. It’s a genre he personally enjoys, so having it as the title track is both refreshing and exciting.

Jake highlighted their dedication to the title track, saying that except for Sunghoon, this genre is new territory for them. It saw it as an opportunity to showcase a different facet of ENHYPEN.

Jay expressed unwavering confidence in their new release. As K-pop artists and performers, they critically evaluate each album, discussing the strengths and areas for improvement. Remarkably, it all shared the same positive opinion about this album. They believe it’s the highest quality work yet, prepared without compromise. It’s undoubtedly the most satisfying album of the careers and the one they’re most confident will shine.

Jake concluded with optimism that following the recent successes, they’re eagerly anticipating tomorrow’s comeback. The goal is to end this year on a high note, and with all six of them contributing, they’re feeling incredibly confident. He added that it aims to perform on even bigger stages in the future. Personally, he’s hoping for strong performances on music charts and Billboard with this exceptional comeback.

The new album is set to release on August 21 at 1:00 p.m. (Korean time).
