Hollywood star Tobey Maguire, 51, took on an unexpected role at his ex-wife’s wedding, serving as the officiant for renowned jewelry designer and entrepreneur Jennifer Meyer, 49.
U.S. entertainment outlets, including Page Six, reported that Maguire presided over the nuptials of Meyer and Geoffrey Ogunlesi, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the The Ogunlesi Group. The intimate ceremony took place last weekend at a luxurious resort hotel in Hawaii.
The couple’s children with Maguire, 19-year-old Ruby and 17-year-old Otis, were in attendance. Meyer had recently welcomed a daughter with Ogunlesi in May.
The star-studded guest list included A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio and his model girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, as well as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his partner Lauren Sanchez.
Maguire and Meyer tied the knot in 2009 but separated in 2016. In a twist of timing, they finalized their divorce just days before Meyer’s remarriage, ending a decade-long separation.
Maguire, best known for his portrayal of Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, has also starred in critically acclaimed films such as Seabiscuit, Brothers, and The Great Gatsby. He made headlines in 2021 with his surprise return as Spider-Man in the blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home, delighting fans worldwide.
