BTS’s Arirang is set to resonate across Japan on television this November.

Japanese broadcaster TBS has announced the exclusive television (TV) premiere of BTS World Tour Arirang in Japan on November 28 at 8:00 p.m. (local time) through its TBS Channel 1 Latest Drama, Music, and Movies program. The broadcast will feature footage from the tour’s opening night at Tokyo Dome on April 17. Additionally, TBS is dedicating a special BTS-themed block throughout November, showcasing 28 programs related to the group, including concerts, variety shows, and films.

TBS highlighted the powerful audience sing-along of “Body to Body”, a track from BTS’s fifth studio album Arirang. The network described the moment when the traditional Korean folk song ‘Arirang’ filled the venue as spine-tingling and unforgettable, emphasizing how the power of music united the hearts of thousands.

“Body to Body” symbolically encapsulates the roots and identity of the seven members who grew up in Korea, blending modern sounds with the melody of ‘Arirang’. Following the two-day concert that drew a staggering 110,000 fans, media outlets worldwide took notice. Publications including SPUR magazine, Mexico’s InfoBae, Rolling Stone Germany, and France’s Le Monde all cited the ‘Arirang’ sing-along as a standout moment of the performances.

Since their 2013 debut, BTS has skyrocketed to global stardom, cementing their status as the world’s top boy group with hits like “Dynamite”, “Butter”, and “Permission to Dance”. Following their hiatus for military service, the group made a triumphant return in March with their fifth studio album Arirang. The title track “Swim” has since garnered worldwide acclaim, further solidifying their international appeal.

BTS is currently in the midst of their Arirang world tour, with their next stop at the National Stadium in Chile on October 17.
