SEVENTEEN’s sub-unit Jeonghan and Joshua have solidified their global music prowess by topping Japan’s Oricon weekly chart.
Oricon reported on Tuesday that the duo’s debut mini-album DREAMSCAPE sold over 66,000 copies in its first week of release in Japan, clinching the No. 1 spot on the latest weekly album ranking (dated November 2). This triumph follows their previous successes, including a No. 1 ranking on South Korea’s Hanteo chart and achieving Triple Gold certification on China’s QQ Music.
DREAMSCAPE highlights the signature sweet and emotive vocals of Jeonghan and Joshua, showcasing their enhanced vocal synergy. The title track “12 o’clock” and other album cuts seamlessly blend the members’ distinctive timbres and polished vocal skills, leaving listeners deeply moved and impressed.
Riding high on their chart-topping success and impressive album sales, Jeonghan and Joshua are set to maintain their momentum with solo concerts scheduled across six cities domestically and internationally.
SEVENTEEN, the parent group of Jeonghan and Joshua, made their debut in 2015 with “Adore U”. Since then, they’ve captured the hearts of fans and the general public alike with a string of hits including “Mansae”, “Pretty U”, “Very Nice”, “Don’t Wanna Cry”, “Clap”, “Oh My!”, “Left & Right”, “Rock with You”, “Super”, and “FML”.
