NCT Dream has encapsulated their 10-year journey in their latest single, “Boogie Woogie.”
On Thursday, SM Entertainment announced that NCT Dream will drop their sixth full-length album, DREAM AFTER DREAM, on November 9 at 6:00 p.m. (KST). The album will feature 10 tracks, including the title song “Boogie Woogie.”
“Boogie Woogie” is an upbeat dance track that fuses the vintage vibes of 1970s disco funk with contemporary synthesizer sounds. The song boasts a lively rhythm driven by percussion and bass guitar.
Member Jaemin contributed to the lyrics, which celebrate the group’s decade-long journey together, encourage living in the moment, express gratitude to those who’ve made ordinary days extraordinary, and affirm their commitment to moving forward as a team.
A teaser released on official social media platforms showcased the members as gardeners tending to crops, symbolizing the memories they’ve cultivated over the past decade and the stories yet to unfold, drawing a parallel between their experiences and plant growth.
The album title, DREAM AFTER DREAM, represents an endless succession of dreams. It reflects on NCT Dream’s musical evolution over the past ten years and signals their determination to pursue new horizons beyond their current achievements.
NCT Dream made their debut on August 25, 2016, with “Chewing Gum.” Since then, they’ve released hits like “My First and Last,” “Hot Sauce,” “Hello Future,” and “Candy,” consistently delivering narratives of youth and growth. Their new album is set to drop on November 9.
