After concluding the Workers’ Party plenary session, which reviewed the first half of the year, North Korea has fostered an atmosphere that encourages the implementation of party decisions. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un led this initiative by guiding through local sites, including military factories, immediately after the plenary session.

On the 3rd, Rodong Sinmun. The Workers’ Party newspaper reported on page 1~3 that Kim visited defense industry enterprises, important machinery factories, and medical device production factories. The newspaper reported, “Right after concluding the plenary session, Kim Jong Un visited important factories and businesses with central leadership members to boost the national economic development to a new upswing.” Kim emphasized that the level of modernization achieved in the defense industry should set the standard and goal for all sectors of the economy, not just the machinery industry. He urged the modernization production project to be accurately organized across all economic units.

That day, the newspaper encouraged the executives by stating, “The central leadership members of the party are filled with firm determination to play a vanguard and pivotal role in the struggle for the implementation of the plenary session decisions, which aims for the revival and prosperity of our great country and the welfare of the people.”

Page 4 included the workers’ responses to the news of the 10th plenary session of the 8th Central Committee of the Party. Kim Keum Chul, deputy director of the Cabinet Secretariat, pledged to “vigorously push for the execution of economic tasks in the second half,” and Choi Seong Ryong, the subcommittee director of the Local Development 20X10 Emergency Central Promotion Committee, declared, “We will intensify the struggle for local economic development.”

Page 5 also emphasized the importance of implementing the decisions of the party plenary session. The newspaper urged, “The key industries need to take a leading role with full steam.” On the same page, the news of the Vietnam Public Security Ministry delegation currently visiting North Korea was published, which toured various places in Pyongyang, including the Juche Tower, Arch of Triumph, and the Museum of Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

On page 6, the newspaper criticized the United States for providing ATACMS missiles to Ukraine during the war between Russia and Ukraine. The newspaper called the United States a “criminal country that uses and propagates cluster bombs without hesitation” and claimed, “The United States is committing inhumane atrocities.”
