North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected the 105th Guards Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Armored Division, the first division to enter Seoul during the Korean War.
The Workers’ Party newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported on the 25th that the General Secretary inspected the 105th Tank Division on the 24th across three pages.
The General Secretary listened to the division commander’s report on the division’s attack and defense operation plans, reviewed battle documents, and directed the operational combat tasks and the directions of subordinate combined units’ battle training.
The General Secretary said, “In the history of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105th Tank Division, records of glorious struggles to protect the party and the leader with their lives at every solemn juncture of the revolution, with countless battle honors. The noble loyalty of the guard units and the great tradition of victory must be inherited.”
On page 3, it was reported that the Workers’ Party delegation, currently visiting China, met with Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister of the Chinese Communist Party, on the 23rd. The head of the delegation, Kim Song Nam, the Party’s International Director, said, “In the year of NK-China friendship, let’s strengthen our mutual relations by actively making various and abundant exchanges and cooperating in projects between the two parties to bear excellent fruit.”
On page 4, it was reported that the ballet performances of “Phoenix” and “Classic & Modern Dance Night” by the art troupe of the Mariinsky Theater in Russia’s Primorsky Territory are being held at the Mansudae Art Theater in Pyongyang.
On page 5, under the title “When We Ideologically Accept the Party’s Education Revolution Policy, Our Determination, and Practice Become Whole,” it was reported that a demonstration project for education guidance workers and university workers in the education sector was conducted in the North Pyongan Province. The newspaper evaluated that the schools in North Pyongan Province ideologically accept the Party’s education policy and that educators strive to achieve great feats through constant contemplation and exploration, simultaneously developing from kindergarten to university.
On page 6, it was reported that there were 85,162 cases of rotavirus in Japan during the week until the 17th. It was also reported that infectious diseases such as smallpox, whooping cough (pertussis), and Lassa fever were spreading in Cambodia, Nigeria, and the Czech Republic, alerting its people.
