Kim Jong Un, the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, visited munitions factories and ordered increased production of artillery shells, according to state media reports.

The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Workers’ Party of Korea, reported on its front pages that Kim conducted on-site inspections of key military industrial facilities under the Second Economic Committee. During his visit, Kim examined shell production capabilities and expansion efforts, urging workers to produce more shells to contribute to strengthening our armed forces.

Page 3 highlighted Samjiyon City’s Motka Street, touting it as a model for local development and a showcase of modern civilization in a mountainous cultural city. It also advised officials that while leadership and mobilization skills are important, the most essential quality is compassion, emphasizing the need for warmth and gentleness when dealing with people.

Page 4 reported on a Belarusian government delegation’s visit to North Korea for the third meeting of the bilateral Joint Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation. The delegation arrived in Pyongyang on Tuesday.
