North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met with Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of Russia, who is visiting North Korea to mark the first anniversary of the new treaty between the two countries. The two attended an artistic performance together, as reported by the state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun.

The newspaper reported on its front page on Monday that Kim met with Lyubimova, who is leading a delegation from the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Culture, at the headquarters of the Workers’ Party Central Committee on June 29. This visit coincides with the first anniversary of the new treaty between North Korea and Russia.

The paper described the artistic performance as one that reinforced the belief that the combat friendship and true internationalist loyalty forged in blood between the armies of the two countries will endure alongside the history of victory.

On Page 2, it was reported that North Korean Culture Minister Seung Jeong Gyu and Lyubimova held talks at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on June 28. During this meeting, the cultural ministries of both countries signed a Cultural Cooperation Plan for 2025-2027. Lyubimova also laid a wreath at the Liberation Monument in Pyongyang.

It added that true ownership is demonstrated by boundless responsibility for assigned duties.

Page 5 encouraged increased production in various textile factories, including the Pyongyang Textile Factory. The paper reported that factory workers and the labor class are leveraging science, technology, and collectivism as powerful tools for development, actively pursuing production capacity expansion, new product development, and domestic production initiatives.
