The North Korean women’s soccer team has raced to the top of their group, showcasing a devastating offensive prowess by netting 10 goals in back-to-back matches.

On Wednesday, North Korea secured a commanding 10-0 victory against Palestine in their second Group H qualifier for the 2026 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Asian Cup, held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Following their 10-0 rout of Tajikistan on Sunday, North Korea now boasts an impeccable record of two wins (6 points), having scored 20 goals while conceding none.

North Korea is set to face Malaysia (6 points, +2 goal difference) in their final group stage match on Saturday. This crucial encounter will determine whether North Korea advances to the Women’s Asian Cup finals.

The 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup will feature 12 teams, with the host nation, Australia, and the top three finishers from the 2022 tournament—China, South Korea, and Japan—automatically qualifying for the finals without needing to participate in the qualifiers.

The remaining 34 teams are currently competing in 8 groups for the 8 available spots in the finals. Only the top team from each group will qualify for the finals.
