North Korea is intensifying its ideological reinforcement through propaganda to achieve economic goals in the final year of its five-year national development plan.

The Workers’ Party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its front page on Sunday that dynamic slogans, mottos, and propaganda posters encapsulating the ideology and spirit of the 12th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee are prominently displayed nationwide. These are powerfully mobilizing the masses to realize this year’s ambitious objectives as they complete the five-year plan.

On page 2, the newspaper reported that the Central Committee sent a congratulatory message to the 19th Congress of the Russian Communist Party. It expressed expectations that the excellent friendly and cooperative relationship between the two nations will further deepen, aligning with the multifaceted development of North Korea-Russia state relations, which have evolved into an unbreakable alliance.

An article on page 3 titled “Let’s Keenly Grasp the Core of Ideological Work” emphasized that today’s charged reality of the revolutionary march towards comprehensive national revitalization demands a continuous enhancement of ideological penetration and effectiveness more than ever before.

On the same page, an article titled “Can We Ignore This Issue?” reported that to accelerate the comprehensive development of the party and socialism, significant changes are required not only in the material lives but also in the cultural spheres of local populations. The newspaper highlighted the low utilization of cultural centers in rural areas, urging that this issue requires serious attention and effort.

Page 4 highlighted that recent frequent rainfall has created unfavorable conditions for harvesting, transporting, threshing, and drying grains. It emphasized that agricultural sector officials must redouble their efforts to ensure results through unwavering ideological commitment and bold, practical actions. It reported that the construction sector is strengthening its capabilities with ongoing efforts.

On page 5, the newspaper reported that the director of the Architectural Science Research Institute at Pyongyang University of Architecture has led to savings in cement, timber, and labor through the use of prefabricated construction methods. The article also highlighted improved technical scoring levels of female athletes participating in the 2025 Asian Wrestling Championships.

A commentary on page 6 by the Korean Central News Agency condemned Israeli military attacks on the Gaza Strip, stating that despite the humanitarian crisis reaching catastrophic levels, Israeli aggressors continue to expand their military assaults on the devastated Gaza Strip, setting new records for mass killings daily. The commentary also alleged U.S. involvement behind these actions.
