North Korean leader Kim Jong Un paid homage at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the 31st anniversary of Kim Il Sung’s death.

The party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its front page that at midnight on Tuesday, Kim, accompanied by Politburo Standing Committee members Pak Thae Song, Choe Ryong Hae, and Jo Yong Won, visited the palace to lay floral tributes at the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

On page two, under the headline “A Precious Revolutionary Legacy to Shine for Generations,” the newspaper emphasized the people’s commitment to the Kim dynasty’s ideology. It stated that the people are resolute in their pledge to faithfully uphold the great Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il ideology, which their esteemed General Secretary continues to strengthen and develop, thereby accelerating the ultimate triumph of the revolution. This rhetoric underscores the regime’s efforts to maintain loyalty to the Juche ideology across generations.

The third page reported on an expanded meeting of the Cabinet Party Committee held on Monday to implement decisions from the 12th plenary session of the 8th Central Committee. It also mentioned a gathering of youth and students at the Central Youth Hall to commemorate the 31st anniversary of Kim Il Sung’s death.

Page four highlighted Kim Jong Un’s purported love for future generations. The newspaper declared that a love for the younger generation was its driving force. The people will resolutely advance and achieve victory in the Juche revolutionary cause, envisioning a bright future for the great nation that will further elevate its unparalleled dignity across the world.

The fifth page emphasized the people-first ideology, urging workers to be patriotic and dedicated to their work. The Musan Mining Joint Venture pledged to boost iron ore production. Yonpung Senior Middle School in Anju City emphasized its commitment to nurturing students as innovative talents who can proudly represent their country, positioning themselves at the forefront of the new century’s educational revolution.

The sixth page reported heatwave warnings for Pyongyang and various regions along the west coast and inland. It also featured anecdotes about Kim Il Sung, showcasing gifts he received from world leaders, including a chief’s chair, agate handicrafts, and a crystal craft called “Samyanggaetae.”
