Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of North Korea’s Workers’ Party, visited a historical site commemorating the party’s 80th anniversary. He declared that all elements and actions undermining the party’s authority would be swiftly identified and eliminated.
On Thursday, the party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its front page that Kim delivered this speech after visiting the party’s founding historical site on Wednesday.
The full text of Kim’s address was published on page 2. He stated that the party has embarked on a new trajectory of comprehensive socialist development since the 8th Central Committee. He emphasized the need to transform every field, sector, and region within the next decade.
Kim stressed that everything hinges on its cadres, asserting that before changing their mindset and abilities, the cadres must first transform their relationship with the masses, moral character, and work style.
Page 3 featured an editorial titled, The Great Party’s Leadership is the Strength and Victory of Juche Korea. It emphasized that the path to strengthening the party and nation lies in ensuring unity of thought and leadership, urging citizens to unite patriotically around the Party’s Central Committee.

On Wednesday, he toured the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and various locations, including the Workers’ Party Central Cadre School. President Sisoulith, who arrived in Pyongyang on Tuesday, completed a two-day visit before departing from Pyongyang International Airport.
