The North Korean Workers’ Party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, has launched a series of articles aimed at extensively promoting the party’s various policies during the Kim Jong Un Era.

On Thursday, the newspaper featured a front-page special article titled, The Reality Found Only in Our Socialist Motherland, in the Embrace of the Workers’ Party.

The newspaper declared that the party’s people-centric policies are transforming the entire nation into a magnificent place, guiding citizens toward a new lifestyle and civilization. It stated that the pride and joy of the people in the Kim era are growing day by day. The editorial team announced plans to publish a series of articles proudly describing the unique realities of their socialist homeland.

In its inaugural article, the newspaper promoted the party’s housing policy, asserting that the country is the only one that provides free housing, built with vast resources, to ordinary workers.

During the 8th Workers’ Party Congress in January 2021, North Korea set a plan to construct 50,000 housing units in Pyongyang by 2025, building 10,000 units annually. This plan is currently being implemented. Furthermore, since 2022, the country has been vigorously promoting rural housing construction nationwide, in line with the New Rural Revolution Program.

The newspaper noted that housing issues are universal, citing the British newspaper The Guardian to highlight soaring housing prices in Europe and elsewhere.

It continued that however, the motherland provides homes built with unparalleled expertise to ordinary workers at no cost, adding that the world expresses endless amazement and envy at the realities unfolding in the country.

The newspaper referred to the party as the grateful mother party, urging citizens to devote their strength and passion entirely to the socialist motherland and to remain loyal to the system and the party.

North Korea appears to have initiated this series to showcase sectoral achievements ahead of the anticipated 9th Party Congress, expected to be held early next year, and to bolster regime unity. The newspaper is likely to highlight various accomplishments, including the party’s childcare and youth policies, national defense enhancements, and Kim’s diplomatic achievements.
