North Korea is intensifying its efforts to push party officials to implement party policies, using the construction of the Hwaeyang County Power Plant as a catalyst and emphasizing the Gangwon Province Spirit.

The ruling party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its front page on Wednesday that party organizations should fully grasp the demands of the times and become catalysts for vigorously spreading the flames of the Gangwon Province Spirit. The paper urged them to become propagandists and organizers in this effort.

The article emphasized that the core of the Gangwon Province Spirit is an unwavering ideological perspective that party policies must be implemented unconditionally. It stressed that, no matter how unfamiliar or vast the tasks may be, if the party desires it, they must be brought to fruition without exception.

On the second page, the newspaper promoted the future generation project, highlighting that Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party, has established policies for future generations as the top priority of party and state policies. It praised Kim for insisting that providing school uniforms for children is an urgent issue that must be executed unconditionally as a primary duty of the party and state.

The third page urged officials not to become complacent with their achievements, insisting that they must strive harder and work more diligently. The article also introduced four women who received the Honorary Mother of Communism award.

The fourth page spotlighted Nampo City, which is exemplary in implementing the party’s local development policies. The newspaper praised Nampo City for discovering untapped resources and for maximizing the effective exploration and utilization of existing resources to achieve bold, practical development.

The fifth page emphasized the importance of talent development by citing examples from the chemical industry. The report stated that efforts are underway to enhance research and design capabilities in the chemical sector and to elevate their accountability and roles, leading to a series of changes. It also mentioned that the completion ceremony of a fruit processing plant in Bukcheong County took place the previous day.

On the sixth page, the newspaper highlighted scenes of kimjang (kimchi-making) among North Korean residents. It wrote that every year around this time, a fascinating scene unfolds in every household as families prepare kimchi, blending freshness, aroma, and flavor. The article also blamed Western countries for environmental destruction, asserting that no matter what measures they take, they cannot avoid responsibility for the severe damage they have caused to the global ecological environment.
