The ruling party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, featured a front-page article titled, Understanding Baekdu’s Biting Wind is Essential to Becoming a Revolutionary. The piece recounted the December 2019 event where Kim rode a white horse through a blizzard on Mount Baekdu during the symbolic Paektu Mountain Horse March.
The newspaper emphasized that the revolutionary tradition of Baekdu represents the historical foundation of the party and revolution, serving as a lifeline connecting generations. It claimed this tradition embodies an invincible strength that projects the nation’s dignity and power across the globe.
Page 2 reported on a commemorative meeting held to mark the 10th anniversary of Kim’s visit to the Mangyongdae Student and Youth Palace on November 30, 2015. The article stressed that all personnel and educators at the palace must strive to create a breakthrough in extracurricular education and talent development, contributing to the success of the upcoming 9th Party Congress.
