North Korea has prominently commemorated the sixth anniversary of Kim Jong Un’s Mount Paektu horseback march.

The ruling party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, featured a front-page article titled, Understanding Baekdu’s Biting Wind is Essential to Becoming a Revolutionary. The piece recounted the December 2019 event where Kim rode a white horse through a blizzard on Mount Baekdu during the symbolic Paektu Mountain Horse March.

The newspaper emphasized that the revolutionary tradition of Baekdu represents the historical foundation of the party and revolution, serving as a lifeline connecting generations. It claimed this tradition embodies an invincible strength that projects the nation’s dignity and power across the globe.

The third page highlighted recent housing developments in various regions, including the Mangkeum Greenhouse Farm in North Hwanghae Province, and farms in Bukchang County. It also noted the completion of the Hamhung Stadium in South Hamgyong Province and modernization of the Rason Comprehensive Food Factory.

An article on Page 4, titled, Emulate the Fighting Spirit of Gangwon Province Residents, reinforced the importance of the Gangwon Spirit. It emphasized that now is the critical moment for provincial, city, and county officials to fully commit to implementing the Local Development 20X10 Policy, underscoring the significance of regional economic strategies.
