The Democratic Party of Korea condemned North Korea’s launch of ballistic missiles into the East Sea on March 14, describing it as a threat to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and a setback to international efforts.

Democratic Party spokesperson Baek Seung-ah issued a written statement, highlighting that North Korea’s ballistic missile launches are escalating tensions in the region.

Baek emphasized that military provocations and shows of force will yield no benefits. She strongly urged Pyongyang to immediately halt its destabilizing military actions and instead engage in dialogue to promote peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that North Korea fired more than ten unidentified ballistic missiles eastward. The launches are believed to have originated from the Sunan area near Pyongyang at approximately 1:20 p.m. (South Korean time).
