
In the wake of the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party, North Korea has focused on reorganizing local officials and emphasizing achievements in production and scientific technology, providing detailed messages for various sectors.
The North Korean party newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported on its front page on Tuesday that the 3rd Training Session for City and County Party Secretaries took place from April 4 to 6. The newspaper emphasized the need to transform all cities and counties into local strongholds loyal to the central party leadership. It praised the solid foundation laid for strengthening cities and counties over the past five years while also acknowledging shortcomings and lessons from certain units.
On page 2, the newspaper reported that Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party, extended sincere congratulations on the re-election of Laos’ President Thongloun Sisoulith. It also covered the opening of a photo exhibition showcasing the immortal achievements in people-centered architecture, claiming that it comprehensively compiles the precious revolutionary accomplishments of their great leaders.
Page 3 featured an article titled, Go Among the People!, which highlighted General Secretary Kim’s statement that history is based on the people and their power. The newspaper explained that going among the people means aligning oneself with the central party’s commitment to serving the people, urging officials to practice selfless service.
Page 4 spotlighted a couple dedicated to forestry, emphasizing that responding to the call of the homeland and the people through personal dedication is the mark of a true patriot. The newspaper linked individual sacrifice to the enhancement of national resources, stating that forests are the storehouse of a country without fences.
Page 5 posed the question, Are local industrial factories resonating with vigorous activity? It stressed that all workers and laborers must steadfastly uphold their pledges to the party and the leader. The page also presented ideological mobilization as a key strategy to maximize the mental fortitude of the workforce.
Page 6 underscored the importance of science and technology, declaring them the driving force behind social development. The newspaper warned that without activating scientific and technological capabilities, plans would remain mere words on paper, urging officials to spearhead technological advancements.
