On Tuesday, North Korea launched an unidentified projectile into the West Sea, as reported by the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS)

The JCS are currently analyzing the specifications and range of the projectile.

If it is confirmed that North Korea fired a ballistic missile on this day, it would mark their first ballistic missile provocation in 37 days.

On April 19, North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) into the East Sea from the Sinpo area in South Hamgyong Province.

At that time, North Korea claimed that the ballistic missiles were cluster munitions, designed to increase the area of damage by containing multiple smaller warheads within a single missile warhead.
