On June 28, North Korean Workers’ Party officials, Defense Ministry commanders, and cadres, workers, and youth from Pyongan Province sent congratulatory letters and support supplies to the labor force at Nampo Shipyard. The shipyard recently commissioned the lead ship of a new class of 5,000-ton destroyers, named Choe Hyon.

Rodong Sinmun, the party’s official newspaper, reported that the entire nation is sending enthusiastic congratulations to the workers at Nampo Shipyard for their significant contribution to strengthening the naval forces by constructing a powerful destroyer using the indigenous technology.

The paper noted that Party Central Committee officials visited Nampo Shipyard to deliver letters of encouragement and supplies. They urged workers to further elevate their commitment to executing party directives and their spirit of self-reliance to produce more modern vessels.

The article also highlighted ongoing efforts at major industrial complexes like Kim Chaek Iron and Steel, Namhung Youth Chemical, and Nakwon Machinery, where workers are striving to meet this year’s production targets. Additionally, the newspaper reported accelerated rural housing construction across various regions, with areas like Pyongyang’s Kangnam County, South Hamgyong’s Nakwon County, and Dancheon City entering the final stages of construction.

The overwhelming emotions of gratitude among miners at the newly renovated Chunsung Youth Coal Mine and their families are beyond words.

The third page presented a historical account of the Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (Korean War) from the Kim Il Sung Victory Day document. The newspaper asserted that the liberation of Seoul stands as the most remarkable and astonishing offensive operation in world military history. This victory proves that when the entire military and populace unite under the Supreme Leader’s guidance, even the most formidable enemy can be defeated and miracles achieved.

Page 4 highlighted key points from the 9th Party Congress, stating that the congress identified the need to innovate leadership methods and enhance officials’ command capabilities as crucial for comprehensive national development. It emphasized that all workers and officials must establish a culture of collective support to drive the era of comprehensive development.

The fifth page stressed the importance of integrating learning into daily work routines. The newspaper advised that it’s particularly beneficial to develop the habit of studying before starting work and continuing to study after completing daily tasks.

The final page reported on the 37th regular general meeting of the Federation of Korean Commercial and Industrial Associations in Japan, held on June 20 in Tokyo.
