The U.S. Army Military Band and Honor Guard Battalion is set to participate in the Virginia International Tattoo, taking place from April 16 to 19 at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
Established in 1997, the Virginia International Tattoo has become the largest military musical showcase in the United States. This year’s event, commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence, will feature over 800 participants from four key allied nations, including South Korea.
The Army’s Military Band and Honor Guard Battalion will make their triumphant return to the Virginia International Tattoo after an eight-year absence, last performing in 2018. The event will also showcase the Army’s Taekwondo Demonstration Team and the Chungnam National University Dance Troupe.
The Military Band and Honor Guard Battalion’s repertoire will include traditional Korean folk song “Arirang,” patriotic piece “Beautiful Country,” and the popular Korean hit “Golden.” The Taekwondo team and dance troupe will perform synchronized military-style routines to the band’s music, highlighting the precision and discipline of the armed forces.
