Nvidia announced on Monday that it will provide its state-of-the-art Grace Blackwell (GB300) system for the ambitious artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure project Stargate UAE, which is currently under development in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The project is a collaborative effort involving global tech giants and AI leaders, including G42, OpenAI, Oracle Corporation, SoftBank Group, and Cisco.

Stargate UAE will be established as a formidable 1 gigawatt (GW) AI computing cluster within the newly conceived 5 GW UAE-US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi. G42 will spearhead the facility’s construction, while OpenAI and Oracle Corporation will oversee its operations. Cisco is set to implement Zero Trust-based security protocols and enhance AI connectivity, with SoftBank Group offering strategic partnership support.

This groundbreaking initiative aims to address the surging demand for large-scale AI capabilities by harnessing national-level computing resources and delivering low-latency inference performance. The 200 megawatt (MW) AI cluster is scheduled to commence operations in 2026.

The UAE-U.S. AI Campus, which spans approximately 26 square kilometers, is poised to become the largest AI infrastructure facility outside the U.S.

Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), emphasized that AI represents the most transformative force of our era. He added that through Stargate UAE, Nvidia is committed to building an AI infrastructure that will bring the nation’s bold vision to fruition.
