LG Electronics’ organic light-emitting diode (OLED) television (TV) stole the spotlight as a digital canvas at a U.S. exhibition featuring the works of world-renowned artist Kim Ayoung.
On Wednesday, LG Electronics announced that their OLED TV played a starring role as a digital canvas during Kim’s recent artwork presentation, “The Soft Geometry of Existence,” at New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The innovative display fostered an intimate connection between the artist and her audience.
In the Guggenheim’s circular theater, attendees were mesmerized by the protagonists Ernst Mo and En Storm from Kim’s iconic Delivery Dancer series, brought to life on six 77-inch LG OLED evo displays.
The LG OLED evo screens were strategically placed vertically on both sides of the theater, creating a captivating visual experience as the characters zipped through cityscapes on motorcycles or floated ethereally above urban landscapes.
Kim, who made history in February as the first Korean recipient of the prestigious Guggenheim Award, has been turning heads with her groundbreaking works that seamlessly blend cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR). At this exclusive presentation, a perk reserved for LG Guggenheim Award winners, Kim dazzled the audience by showcasing her artistic vision through the crystal-clear lens of LG Electronics’ OLED TV technology, bridging the gap between traditional art and digital innovation.
