Samsung Electronics is set to launch an artificial intelligence (AI) health coach, aiming to bridge the gaps in fragmented healthcare systems. This could mark a pivotal moment in healthcare innovation.

On Thursday, Samsung Electronics hosted the Galaxy Tech Forum in New York City, facilitating a discussion on the future envisioned by Galaxy AI and Samsung Health.

The forum brought together key industry figures, including Park Hyun-soo, head of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Experience (MX) Division Digital Health Team, Michael McSherry, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Xealth, Rasu Shrestha, Vice President of Advocate Health, and Jim Pursley, President of Hinge Health.

During the event, Samsung Electronics engaged with various health experts to address pressing healthcare challenges and explore innovative technological solutions.

Samsung Electronics announced plans to transform Samsung Health into a comprehensive health platform that consolidates fragmented health data, leveraging the recently acquired digital health platform Xealth.

The company emphasized the critical role of AI in developing this integrated health platform.

Park explained that its AI health coach will connect disjointed healthcare systems, enabling patients to follow medical advice at home through AI-powered coaching on devices like the Galaxy Watch.

He added that by expanding Samsung’s mobile AI leadership across the entire health ecosystem, it’ll make previously impossible tasks achievable.”

Samsung Electronics plans to incorporate an AI-driven comprehensive health insight engine into its platform.

This engine will provide users with holistic health insights based on a wide range of data, including daily health records and medical histories.

The company hinted at future developments, including optimized coaching through generative AI chatbots if health issues are detected.

Forum panelists expressed optimism about the advancements in tech-driven healthcare, predicting that integrated health data would enable users to understand their health better while allowing medical professionals to grasp the full context of a patient’s condition, leading to more personalized and effective care.

Samsung Electronics has been hosting the Galaxy Tech Forum since 2024, fostering in-depth discussions with global industry leaders and experts on positive future developments and challenges related to Samsung’s technological innovations.
