KCC announced on Wednesday that it is partnering with Graco, a leading U.S. manufacturer of coating equipment, to offer a comprehensive solution that includes both paint and coating equipment, aiming to build a distinctive competitive edge in the market.
The comprehensive solution, introduced by KCC last year, provides a one‐stop service that combines KCC’s polyurea paint for flooring and waterproofing with Graco’s urethane coating equipment.
Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Graco is a global leader in manufacturing coating equipment, with over 30,000 dealerships across more than 100 countries. KCC plans to expand demand for its comprehensive solution by strengthening its collaboration with this global industry giant.
Initially, KCC will optimize its polyurea coatings for Graco’s equipment through technical collaboration, leveraging Graco’s strong reputation. The company is also exploring the application of this comprehensive solution to various coating types in the future.
By fine-tuning coatings that require specialized equipment to work seamlessly with Graco’s machines, KCC aims to enhance application stability and establish a unique market advantage.
Moreover, KCC is bolstering its on-site response capabilities through collaboration with Graco, ensuring swift action in the event of equipment issues.
On Tuesday, KCC conducted an advanced training session on polyurea coating equipment for over 40 of its paint specialists, further enhancing their technical expertise. The company intends to make Graco equipment training a regular part of its staff development program.
KCC also plans to actively promote the benefits and success stories of its comprehensive service as a strategy to boost dealership sales.
Initial feedback from dealerships on the comprehensive service has been overwhelmingly positive. Dealers report increased sales by offering equipment from a global leader alongside optimized coatings.
Fabien Ledebt, Vice President Contractor Equipment Division Asia Pacific, stated that the synergy between equipment and coatings directly translates into customer value. He further noted their partnership with KCC is set to grow even stronger.
Ham Sung-soo, head of KCC’s distribution paint division, expressed confidence that the training will significantly enhance the team’s technical support capabilities in the field.
