Samsung Electronics’ televisions (TVs) and monitors evolve to comfort users’ hearts.

Samsung Electronics has announced that its 2025 TV and monitor models will feature Microsoft’s generative artificial intelligence (AI), Copilot. This move represents a significant leap in user experience.

Copilot is designed to provide content-related information through voice interactions and support learning via user conversations. With its ability to understand and respond to natural dialogue, it offers comfort and empathy to users.

Users can engage in everyday conversations with their TV, asking questions such as, What can help me feel better after a breakup? or Is the weather good for hiking in downtown Seoul this Saturday? The AI can even assist with personalized learning experiences, like helping users improve their foreign language skills through conversation.

The AI will be integrated into Samsung Electronics’ 2025 lineup, including the Micro Red, Green, and Blue (RGB), Neo Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diode (QLED), Organic Dot Light-Emitting Diode (OLED), The Frame Pro, and The Frame TVs. For monitors, it will be available in the 2025 M7, M8, and M9 QLED models.

Owners of 2025 Samsung Electronics TVs will be able to access Copilot through the Tizen operating system (OS) home screen, Samsung Daily Plus, and the Click to Search feature.

This integration follows Samsung’s recent enhancement of its Click to Search feature with an upgraded version of Bixby. By incorporating Microsoft’s Copilot, Samsung Electronics has significantly expanded the capabilities of its AI-powered screens.

Samsung Electronics plans to further develop its AI services through open partnerships with global AI companies, building on the Copilot integration.

The concept of the Samsung AI screen goes beyond a simple viewing device; it aims to be a life companion, offering innovative user experiences at the heart of daily life.

Lee Sang-wook, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Video Display Business, stated that integrating Copilot into the TVs is the result of close collaboration with Microsoft. Further noting that they’re committed to setting new standards for AI TVs through its open partnerships in AI technology.
