LS Electric announced on November 4th that it will participate in ‘BIXPO 2025’ (Bitgaram International Power Technology Expo) from November 5th to 7th at the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju.

In collaboration with LS Cable, LS Electric will set up a 1,162 square foot exhibition space (108㎡ or 12 booths) under the theme ‘Connect Everything with Energy.’ The company plans to showcase its domestically developed high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology, a RE100 (100% renewable energy) platform, and tailored solutions for AI data centers. This initiative aims to demonstrate the company’s formidable competitiveness in shaping the future power market.

The exhibition will particularly highlight power infrastructure solutions crucial for large-scale renewable energy projects, such as offshore wind farms, aligning with the government’s West Coast Energy Highway policy.

As Korea’s sole provider of current-type HVDC systems, LS Electric will emphasize its accumulated technological expertise and project execution capabilities. The company’s HVDC projects have amassed orders totaling approximately 1 trillion KRW (750 million USD). They will also introduce an energy integrated management solution (FEMS) for RE100 industrial complexes and present their project portfolio.

LS Cable will showcase its HVDC solutions, including both terrestrial and submarine cables, while highlighting the synergies within the LS Group’s energy value chain, from power supply to control systems, in partnership with LS Electric.

The two companies will also unveil ‘Hypergrid NX,’ an advanced superconducting power system designed for AI data centers. This innovative system integrates LS Cable’s superconducting cables with LS Electric’s superconducting current limiters to create a cutting-edge power supply solution for data centers.

An LS Electric spokesperson stated, “In response to the surge in power demand and paradigm shifts such as decarbonization, we’ve introduced a range of high-efficiency solutions and key technologies for future power systems, including HVDC and energy storage systems.” The representative added, “This event will showcase LS Electric’s transition from a national leader to a global frontrunner in electric energy, spearheaded by our innovative DC solutions.”
