Samsung Electronics is gradually unveiling details of its Galaxy S26 series, slated for release in 2026. Leaked renderings of the Galaxy S26 Plus model have surfaced, and the choice of mobile processor (AP) appears to be nearing finalization.
On Thursday, tech news outlet Android Headlines released computer-aided design (CAD) rendering images of the Galaxy S26 Plus model in collaboration with renowned leaker OnLeaks.
The images suggest that the Galaxy S26 will maintain a similar overall design to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25.
However, the rear camera setup is expected to shift from the previous Olive Ring design to a vertical camera island reminiscent of the Galaxy S25 Edge, with lenses arranged atop the island. The light-emitting diode (LED) flash will be positioned to the right of the camera module.
The front display will retain its flat design, with the selfie camera hole centered at the top. The screen size remains unchanged at 6.7 inches, and the power and volume button placement will stay consistent with the previous model.

Galaxy S26 Finally Adopts Qi2 Wireless Charging Magnets and Camera Sensor Upgrades
Chinese tech insider Ice Universe has also shared sketch images of the Galaxy S26 series.
These images indicate that the Galaxy S26 series will likely feature magnetic wireless charging based on the Qi2 standard. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to support 25W wireless charging, while the base and Plus models may offer 20W wireless charging capabilities.
The Galaxy S26 series is anticipated to be slightly thinner than its predecessor. According to Ice Universe, the standard Galaxy S26 model will measure 6.9mm (about 0.27 inches) in thickness, 0.3mm (about 0.011 inches) thinner than the Galaxy S25 standard model (7.2mm, about 0.28 inches).
While the camera resolution for the Galaxy S26 and Plus models is expected to remain the same, they are likely to feature new main camera sensors. This marks the first camera sensor upgrade since the Galaxy S22’s release in 2022.
Moreover, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to incorporate a front-facing camera with a wider 85-degree field of view, similar to Apple’s approach with the iPhone 17 series. The previous field of view was 80 degrees.

Galaxy S26: Snapdragon Exclusive to Ultra Model, Exynos for Standard and Plus Variants in Select Markets
The choice of AP for the Galaxy S26 series seems to be nearly finalized.
Samsung Electronics is considering equipping the Galaxy S26 series with its in-house Exynos 2600, manufactured using a 2-nanometer (nm) process. However, the company has yet to announce which specific models or markets will receive this chip.
Industry sources suggest that for the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung has decided to use Qualcomm Incorporated Snapdragon AP exclusively for the Galaxy S26 Ultra model.
For the standard and Plus models, Snapdragon APs will be limited to certain markets, including North America and China. In other global markets, including South Korea, Europe, and South America, the Exynos 2600 is expected to be the processor of choice.
Samsung Electronics plans to unveil the Galaxy S26 series at an Unpacked event in San Francisco, U.S., on February 25, 2026. The later announcement compared to previous mid-year launches is reportedly due to adjustments in the release schedule for the Edge model.
