SRT operator SR announced on Sunday that they hosted an event on Friday at SRT Suseo Station, inviting Tarun Raisoni, CEO of the American AI company Gruve.

This event was a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding signed with Gruve last December. It aimed to strengthen AI innovation collaboration within the railway industry and to enhance AI governance.

During the visit, Tarun Raisoni toured the operations center responsible for local control.

He also experienced training sessions at the driving education center, which included simulators for high-speed trains and streetcars, and took a ride on the SRT. This allowed him to gain insights into the current state of South Korea’s railway industry, its development history, and operational status.

Hwang Hyun Joo, acting CEO of SR, said that through the event, the company aimed to swiftly incorporate trends in overseas mobility and AI convergence technologies, leading to concrete improvements in safety, efficiency, and customer trust in its railway operations.
