Korean Air announced its participation in Drone Show Korea 2026 (DSK), set to take place at BEXCO in Busan for three days starting on Wednesday.
At this event, Korean Air will showcase its cutting-edge capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) powered next-generation unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and advanced air mobility (AAM) technologies.
DSK, Asia’s premier drone exhibition, is jointly organized by the Ministries of Trade, Industry and Energy, Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and National Defense, along with the Korea Aerospace Administration and Busan City.
The event has attracted a diverse array of companies specializing in UAVs, aerospace, defense, carbon neutrality, geospatial information, and AI-based convergence technologies. International participation has surged, with representation from 23 countries this year, up from 15 last year.
Korean Air has designed an expansive, multi-level booth to enhance visitor experience and navigation.
The ground floor houses the exhibition area and conference rooms, offering direct engagement with Korean Air’s technological prowess. The upper level features a networking lounge, fostering industry connections.
The exhibition is divided into two key sections. The Drone Zone will unveil Korean Air’s groundbreaking physical AI subsonic unmanned vehicle, developed in partnership with U.S. defense tech firm Anduril – a first for the domestic market.
Also on display are AI-enabled small multipurpose drones, compact strike drones, communication relay drones, and aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions leveraging swarm flight technology.
The AAM Zone spotlights ACROSS, Korean Air’s proprietary AAM traffic management and flight control system. Visitors can also examine a mock-up of the Archer Aviation aircraft, following last year’s memorandum of understanding (MOU) for AAM development collaboration.
The event features a robust lineup of collaborative initiatives. Opening day will see Korean Air host a UAV technology seminar, detailing its capabilities and strategic roadmap. On the 26th, a joint AAM technology seminar with Archer is scheduled. Korean Air also aims to forge new MOUs with global AAM industry leaders.
A Korean Air spokesperson emphasized that the participation in DSK provides an invaluable platform to demonstrate the AI-driven UAV technologies and latest advancements in next-generation air mobility to the industry.
