Samsung Electronics announced on Wednesday that it received eight Excellence Awards at the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2026, Europe’s largest heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) exhibition, held in Milan, Italy, from March 24 to 27.

MCE presents these awards to products that lead industry innovation, evaluating factors such as innovation, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

Samsung Electronics showcased its global HVAC expertise by sweeping eight Excellence Awards across a broad product range, from residential Wind-Free air conditioners to high-efficiency heat pumps and commercial system air conditioners.

The 2026 model of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Wind-Free Combo Pro wall-mounted residential air conditioner, which allows users to select specialized airflow patterns based on their lifestyle and spatial environment, received two Excellence Awards.

This product features the AI Motion Wind function, which detects the user’s location and activity level to selectively provide optimal airflow, and a ‘Comfort Dehumidification’ function that reduces energy consumption by up to 30%.

In the heat pump heating and cooling system lineup, which is gaining attention as a potential replacement for fossil fuel boilers, the Eco Heating System (EHS) All-in-One and EHS Cascade Controller won Excellence Awards.

The EHS All-in-One is a heat pump system that simultaneously uses water and air to provide heating, cooling, and hot water. It has doubled its energy efficiency through a heat recovery function that heats water using waste heat generated during cooling. It can operate in temperatures as low as -25°C (-13°F), making it suitable for various climate conditions. Moreover, it uses R32 refrigerant, which has a global warming potential (GWP) about 68% lower than the conventional R410A refrigerant.

The EHS Cascade Controller is an integrated control solution that maximizes heat pump system efficiency by precisely operating only the necessary units, preventing unnecessary energy waste.

The residential EHS indoor units, Digital Variable Multi (DVM) Hydro Unit and ClimateHub S2 DVM Hydro, also received awards. These products feature a 7-inch screen that allows users to monitor and easily control the status of heating and cooling devices throughout their homes.

In the high-efficiency system air conditioner DVM lineup for large commercial spaces, the DVM S2 R32 and DVM S Mini R32 outdoor units received Excellence Awards. These units scored high in sustainability by using R32 refrigerant, which has a GWP about 68% lower than the conventional R410A. The DVM S2 R32 uses AI to learn users’ cooling patterns for faster cooling and analyzes the installation environment to reduce unnecessary power consumption, operating more efficiently.

Im Sung-taek, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Air Solution Business Team, stated that these MCE Awards confirm that Samsung’s HVAC technology is world-class in terms of innovation, energy efficiency, and sustainability. It will continue to introduce differentiated HVAC solutions that make various living environments more comfortable and efficient.
