NHN (181710) hosted an AI competition to strengthen its employees’ AI capabilities, the company announced on March 30.
The tech firm ran an internal program called NHN AI Sprinton for the employees from March 25 to 26, aimed at enhancing the company’s AI capabilities.
Sprinton, a portmanteau of sprint and hackathon, is a program designed to produce AI-driven results in a short timeframe.
The competition featured teams of three, with employees forming groups regardless of role or seniority.
Fifteen teams advanced to the finals, showcasing their AI-powered projects in two categories: New Development and Work Productivity.
The New Development category saw innovative projects such as an AI mystery courtroom drama, a character development game, and AI-based travel storytelling.
In the Work Productivity category, teams competed with projects aimed at improving workplace efficiency, including a brand-naming support tool and a task-oriented briefing service.
Woo Jin Jung, CEO of NHN, expressed the company’s commitment to integrating AI into its services and work environment, adding that it will continue to leverage AI to drive transformation across the organization.
