Kakao is set to showcase the present and future of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) at the 2026 World Information Technology (IT) Show.
The company announced on Wednesday its participation in the event under the theme A Day with Kanana: Agentic AI Integrated into 50 Million Daily Lives.
Kakao’s exhibit will spotlight various agentic AI services centered around its integrated AI brand, Kanana. Visitors will experience a story-driven space demonstrating how AI seamlessly integrates into users’ daily routines from dawn to dusk.
The exhibition area is divided into hands-on experience zones and video demonstration spaces. In the Kanana in KakaoTalk Experience Zone, guests can engage with AI-driven features like schedule briefings, personalized location recommendations, and gift suggestions.
The Kanana Summary Video will highlight AI’s ability to automatically organize chat messages and call content, boosting efficiency. The Kanana in KakaoTalk Video Zone will demonstrate on-device AI’s prowess in real-time context understanding and proactive assistance. Meanwhile, the Kakao Tools Video Zone will illustrate the seamless integration between Kakao and various external partner services, showcasing the AI’s execution process for user requests.
Additionally, the AI National Secretary Experience Zone will offer visitors a glimpse into AI’s expanded role in public services.
The exhibition’s final area will feature an interactive event using Kakao’s proprietary image generation model, Kanana-Kollage. This innovative AI will analyze visitors’ photos to create and instantly print personalized Kakao Friends characters resembling them.
A Kakao spokesperson stated that the goal is to demonstrate how AI is becoming an integral part of daily life through Kakao’s integrated AI ecosystem, which tightly connects services, platforms, and technologies. It hopes this exhibition provides an intuitive and approachable AI experience while showcasing the current capabilities and future potential of Kakao’s evolving agentic AI.
