The Pinkfong Company and KT have unveiled the KT Homecam Baby Shark Edition on Wednesday, targeting families with young children. This limited-edition product features the beloved Baby Shark design on KT’s home security camera. Starting July 10, 3,000 units will be available for purchase at KT stores nationwide in South Korea, on KT.com, and through their customer service hotline.

The KT Homecam Baby Shark Edition is an enhanced version of KT’s internet-based home care service device, KT Homecam Safe, featuring a custom Baby Shark skin. It’s designed to allow parents to monitor their home in real-time via smartphone.

The device comes equipped with motion detection, cloud storage capabilities, and dual privacy modes. It also features two-way voice communication, enabling parents to interact with their children remotely.

To mark the launch, an experiential pop-up store will open from July 10 to 22 at the KT Onmaji flagship store, located on the first floor of KT WEST in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.

The pop-up will offer areas for product demonstrations and purchases. Visitors can engage with an artificial intelligence (AI) kiosk showcasing the Baby Shark character and KT Homecam Safe features, participate in a Pinkfong merchandise mission event, and take advantage of a limited first-come, first-served purchasing opportunity.

This collaboration represents an expansion of the partnership between the two companies, moving beyond IPTV into smart home appliances. The product aims to meet the growing demand for home care solutions among families with young children by combining practical functionality with appealing character design.

The Pinkfong Company and KT have been collaborating since establishing their IPTV partnership in 2022, expanding their reach by offering children’s content through Genie TV.

A spokesperson for The Pinkfong Company stated that they’ve incorporated the bright and friendly appeal of Baby Shark into everyday home care products. It plans to continue expanding the intellctual property (IP) business into various industries and aspects of daily life in the future.
