LS Electric is set to supply 185.3 billion KRW (about 138 million USD) worth of power distribution equipment to a major U.S. tech company’s data center. Through its partnership with global power firm Bloom Energy, LS Electric has surpassed 500 million USD in cumulative orders in just 18 months, bolstering its foothold in North America’s artificial intelligence (AI) data center power infrastructure market.

On Tuesday, LS Electric disclosed a 138,458,284 USD contract with Bloom Energy for switchgear and distribution transformers.

This project is part of an on-site fuel cell-based power generation initiative for a big tech data center under construction in Pennsylvania. LS Electric will deliver 38 kV high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers between April and July 2027.

On-site power generation produces electricity directly at high-demand facilities like data centers, reducing reliance on external grids. Using fuel cells and similar technologies, this approach eases transmission loads and ensures a stable power supply.

With this latest deal, LS Electric’s total orders from Bloom Energy have exceeded 500 million USD since April 2025, a span of about 18 months. This milestone underscores LS Electric’s growing reputation for technical prowess and operational excellence in North America’s AI data center power infrastructure sector.

The recent contracts are particularly noteworthy as they involve supplying integrated packages of switchgear and distribution transformers for large-scale data centers. As AI data centers’ enormous power needs drive demand for on-site generation, the market for advanced distribution solutions is expected to expand.

Buoyed by this 500 million USD milestone, LS Electric aims to deepen its strategic alliance with Bloom Energy and pursue additional opportunities in North America, with a focus on power infrastructure for fuel cell-powered data centers.

An LS Electric spokesperson stated that they’re doubling down on the partnership with Bloom Energy and accelerating the push into North America’s booming AI data center power market. The strategy leverages the unique wiring solutions and local production and service capabilities.
