Wontech, a leading medical aesthetics device company, is expanding its foothold in Latin America by securing medical device certifications for its flagship products in Mexico and Colombia. This strategic move follows the company’s growing sales in the U.S. market and aims to broaden its local distribution network in these countries, building on its success in Brazil.

The company announced on Tuesday that it had obtained certifications in Mexico last September for its high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device, Titan, and its picosecond laser, Picocare Majesty. In Colombia, Wontech’s radiofrequency (RF) device, Oligio X, received approval from the National Food and Drug Surveillance Institute (INVIMA).

Each product serves a specific purpose in aesthetic treatments. Titan utilizes ultrasound energy to target precise areas beneath the skin for lifting procedures. Picocare Majesty is a laser device designed for pigmentation treatments. Oligio X employs radiofrequency energy to enhance skin elasticity and address wrinkles.

These certifications enable Wontech to offer a comprehensive range of ultrasound, laser, and radiofrequency products in Mexico and Colombia. This diverse portfolio positions the company to meet a wide array of treatment demands, from skin lifting and elasticity improvement to pigmentation therapy.

Wontech’s growth extends to the North American market as well. Its product Ravian, marketed as Novaderm in North America, has surpassed 500 units in cumulative sales. The company’s U.S. sales in the second quarter of this year saw a significant 127% increase compared to the same period last year.

In Latin America, Wontech is leveraging its experience in the Brazilian market to expand its business. The company’s thulium laser, Ravian, operating at a wavelength of 1927 nm, has sold approximately 1,200 units since 2020. Building on this success, Wontech plans to extend its sales strategies to Mexico and Colombia, strengthen its local distribution networks, and explore opportunities in neighboring countries.

Simultaneously, Wontech continues to solidify its presence in major Asian markets, maintaining steady revenue growth. This year, the company is hosting a global brand event called Wave in key Asian countries, including Japan and China. These events aim to enhance engagement with local medical professionals and consumers while elevating brand trust through premium positioning, spearheaded by the Oligio product line.
