Samsung Electronics will launch the Galaxy Buds On, the first clip-on wireless earbuds in its Galaxy Buds lineup, in South Korea on the 27th. The earbuds feature an open-ear design that does not block the ear canal and AI-powered hands-free functions.

The Galaxy Buds On will be available in a single black color for $199. Customers can purchase them through online retailers, including Samsung.com, as well as at Samsung Stores nationwide and other offline retailers.

The new earbuds feature a clip-on design that hooks around the ear for comfortable extended wear. Their open-ear structure allows users to remain aware of surrounding sounds while listening to music. Made with shape-memory alloy, the earbuds flex to fit the shape of each ear and provide a secure fit during exercise.

Audio features include Twin Boost speakers for rich bass and sound leakage reduction technology designed to minimize audio escaping from the earbuds. This marks the first time Samsung has incorporated sound leakage reduction technology into the Galaxy Buds lineup. The earbuds also support Intelligent Clear Call technology for clearer voice calls.

When paired with a smartphone or tablet that supports Galaxy AI, users can access hands-free features including AI assistant voice activation, head gestures and Quick Voice Memo.

Samsung will offer customers who purchase the earbuds between the launch date and Nov. 30 two 30% discount coupons for Galaxy Buds accessories available on Samsung.com. The coupons can be used through Dec. 20 to purchase eligible accessories.

The Galaxy Buds On are also compatible with accessories from the existing Galaxy Buds4 series, allowing users to customize their charging cases.

“Galaxy Buds On will offer a new option for consumers who want to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music,” said Jung Ho-jin, vice president of Samsung Electronics’ Korean sales division. “We encourage customers to experience the comfortable fit and rich sound for themselves at Samsung Stores and other offline retailers nationwide.”
