LG Electronics is elevating its LG Smart Cottage open house tour by establishing it as an official program. This decision follows a pilot run that was so successful it sold out in record time, underscoring its appeal for modern living.
On August 3, LG Electronics announced that its LG Smart Cottage open house tour, which began on August 2, was fully booked within one week of opening reservations. All 200 spots were secured rapidly, likely reflecting the increasing popularity of lifestyle trends such as workations (work combined with vacation) and the 5-2 lifestyle (five days in the city, two days in the countryside).
So, what distinguishes this offering? The LG Smart Cottage is a modular home that caters to technology enthusiasts. It is equipped with LG Electronics’ state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) appliances and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technology. Notably, the home operates entirely on electricity, and with the addition of solar panels on the roof, it becomes a self-sustaining smart home with an emphasis on energy efficiency and high-performance appliances.
LG Electronics has been conducting open house tours of the LG Smart Cottage in Gimje, North Jeolla Province, since June. Reservations can be easily made online for those interested in experiencing the concept firsthand.
Visitors have consistently praised the cottage’s modern design and its range of advanced features. Among these are smart door locks, electric blinds controllable via the LG ThinQ app, AI appliances that adapt to user needs, and a heat pump HVAC system that ensures comfort while maintaining energy efficiency.
Looking ahead, LG Electronics plans to officially open the LG Smart Cottage in Gimje as early as next month, with accommodations available for overnight stays. Prospective guests will have the opportunity to experience premium appliances, including the Object Collection WashTower Compact, a dishwasher designed for efficient cleanup, an induction stove, a convection oven renowned for its baking performance, and a water purifier to meet late-night hydration needs.
