JLK, a medical artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced on Tuesday that it will provide its stroke AI solution to Chung-Ang University Hospital through a subscription model. This move significantly expands JLK’s supply chain in the domestic hospital market, positioning the company for revenue growth.

JLK is supplying Chung-Ang University Hospital with its brain imaging analysis software JLK-CTP, along with AI solutions that support diagnosis and treatment decision-making for acute strokes.

The AI solution has been reported to provide substantial assistance in rapidly assessing lesions and establishing treatment strategies for stroke patients in real clinical settings. Notably, automatic analysis results are available within minutes after brain imaging, offering systematic support for time-sensitive clinical decisions.

Dr. Park Chan Young, a neurology professor at Chung-Ang University Hospital, explained that, in clinical practice, AI analysis results enable medical teams to prioritize treatment more quickly, thereby significantly improving communication among staff. He added that as the technology’s real-world applicability increases, both the speed and accuracy of overall stroke care have improved, an outcome he views very positively.

Chung-Ang University Hospital, a leading tertiary care center in the Seoul metropolitan area, boasts a robust emergency medical system and comprehensive stroke care infrastructure. This enables a continuum of care from acute treatment to rehabilitation, research, and education.

The hospital operates a rapid and standardized care protocol for stroke patients, based on a multidisciplinary collaborative approach. It has established itself as a balanced institution for both clinical practice and research among domestic university hospitals.

JLK has been rapidly expanding its subscription-based AI solution offerings, focusing on domestic university hospitals and general hospitals, including Chung-Ang University Hospital. The company is pursuing customized subscription contracts based on a portfolio covering all areas of stroke diagnosis, including NCCT, CTA, CTP, and MRI, thereby establishing a stable, recurring revenue stream.

JLK CEO Kim Dong Min said that real-world applications at major university hospitals such as Chung-Ang provide important references for expanding the company’s domestic market presence and driving revenue growth. He added that JLK plans to further strengthen its domestic revenue base by expanding subscription-based offerings, with a focus on AI solutions validated in clinical settings.
