LS Electric announced on Friday that it will participate in DISTRIBUTECH 2026, scheduled for February 3-5 at the San Diego Convention Center.

This North American premier power transmission and distribution event will host over 700 global energy and power companies, including industry giants ABB, Siemens, and GE Vernova, representing 94 countries worldwide.

LS Electric plans to showcase solutions tailored for the North American market, including direct current (DC) power devices for data centers, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certified distribution solutions, and ultra-high voltage transformers. The company will spotlight its next-generation power solutions for data centers, with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) driven DC power devices and energy management platforms.

DC distribution systems are gaining traction in power-intensive environments like data centers and large factories, offering improved efficiency by reducing power conversion stages. LS Electric will feature a comprehensive display of its DC ecosystem power device portfolio. The company will also highlight its Cheonan DC Factory, the world’s first manufacturing facility to implement a DC distribution system.

The exhibition will include strategic products with UL certification, crucial for entering the North American market. Since 2014, LS Electric has led domestic medium and large power companies in securing UL certifications, amassing over 300 to date – the highest in South Korea.

A full range of transformers, from ultra-high voltage to medium and low voltage distribution models, will be on display. This showcase aims to reinforce LS Electric’s brand image as a comprehensive solution provider across the power system spectrum.

Last year, LS Electric’s global data center-related orders surpassed 1 trillion KRW (about 695 million USD). These contracts span from power infrastructure for North American big tech data centers to distribution systems integrated with microgrids.

The North American power market is currently experiencing a boom in ultra-high voltage systems due to aging infrastructure replacement. Experts predict an even larger surge in the distribution sector. The distribution market in North America is expected to be six times the size of the ultra-high voltage transformer market.

An LS Electric spokesperson stated that as demand for high-end products grows in the North American market, especially among tech giants, the DC-based high-efficiency distribution systems are poised to capture potential customers’ attention. This exhibition is its opportunity to demonstrate the superior delivery capabilities and robust technical reliability, setting the stage for significant business expansion.
