NorthKoreaNorth Korea's Bold Statement on U.S. and Israel's Actions: What This Means for Middle East Peace

North Korea recently lambasted the military actions taken by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, branding them as unlawful and barbaric acts of aggression and the most egregious violation of national sovereignty.

In a statement released on March 1, a North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesperson declared that the U.S.’s long-standing military threats against Iran evolving into actual military aggression was within the realm of predictable outcomes. It’s an inevitable conclusion stemming from America’s hegemonic and rogue nature.

The spokesperson further emphasized that it has vehemently condemn the brazen and thuggish behavior of the U.S. and Israel. They shamelessly prioritize their domestic laws over established international norms and don’t hesitate to misuse military force to satisfy their selfish, hegemonic ambitions.

The official argued that when tyrannical force and arbitrary actions go unchallenged without robust responses and adequate resistance, regional stakeholders pay a steep price. This situation raises alarming concerns about potential negative repercussions that could politically, economically, and geopolitically impact areas seemingly unrelated to the current Iranian crisis.

The spokesperson added that the acts of aggression and warfare by the U.S. and Israel are unjustifiable and utterly unacceptable under any circumstances. Regional stakeholders and interested parties must clearly recognize the true nature of these lawbreakers who opt for invasion and war under the guise of false peace. They must fulfill their responsibilities to redirect the course of Middle Eastern affairs towards genuine peace and stability.

This statement was issued less than 24 hours after the Iranian government officially confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Khamenei reportedly died during a massive U.S. and Israeli military strike against Iran on February 28.

In January, following the U.S. attempt to remove Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from power, North Korea criticized the U.S. the next day through a Q&A format between the Foreign Ministry spokesperson and a state media reporter. This latest statement represents a significant escalation in rhetoric compared to the previous response.
