LG CNS is joining forces with Palantir Technologies, a U.S.-based artificial intelligence (AI) software firm, to tackle the domestic AI transformation (AX) market.

On Wednesday, LG CNS formalized a strategic partnership with Palantir. The signing ceremony was attended by key executives from both companies, including Hyun Shin-kyun, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LG CNS, and Alex Karp, founder and CEO of Palantir.

Palantir boasts proven platforms such as Foundry, which integrates and refines scattered enterprise data to build data-driven operational systems, and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), which combines generative AI with a unified data environment to support real-time business decision-making.

Through this partnership, LG CNS will tailor Palantir’s enterprise platforms to each client’s needs. To this end, LG CNS is creating a dedicated Palantir business unit called Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE). The FDE team will collaborate closely with Palantir to identify high-value AX applications across various sectors, including manufacturing, energy, electronics, and logistics.

LG CNS plans to expand its Palantir-related business, starting with the LG Group. They have already completed a proof of concept (PoC) for implementing the Palantir platform in the quality control division of one LG affiliate and recently signed a business contract.

CEO Hyun remarked that this strategic partnership marks a pivotal moment in elevating LG CNS’s AX business to a global scale. By merging LG CNS’s industry expertise with Palantir’s AI platform capabilities, it aims to spearhead the clients’ AX innovations.
