JLK, a medical artificial intelligence (AI) company, reported on Thursday that its stroke AI solution is being actively used in real clinical settings at Korea University Anam Hospital, showing high practical effectiveness.

Korea University Anam Hospital, a major tertiary care center in northeastern Seoul, treats a high volume of critical and emergency patients. It operates as a stroke treatment hub with seamless collaboration among neurology, neurosurgery, and radiology departments.

The hospital’s structure allows for rapid imaging and treatment decisions for emergency patients, making a fast and precise imaging analysis system crucial.

Currently, immediately after computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) scans, JLK’s solution automatically analyzes lesion location, extent, and perfusion status, providing quantified data and visualized images.

Medical staff quickly determine treatment options based on these analysis results. The tool has become an integral part of the collaborative treatment process, frequently referenced by healthcare providers.

JLK’s solution quantifies and presents lesion extent and perfusion status using consistent standards. This reduces interpretation differences among medical professionals and supports a data-driven clinical decision-making system.

In a tertiary care hospital where neurology, neurosurgery, and radiology teams jointly discuss treatment strategies, objective analysis metrics are key to enhancing collaborative efficiency and maintaining clinical consistency.

A JLK spokesperson stated that at Korea University Anam Hospital, AI analysis results have seamlessly integrated into the clinical workflow, going beyond mere reference materials. They added that as practical application increases, it anticipates growing trust among healthcare providers and improved operational stability.
