HLB Genex is joining forces with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to develop comprehensive brain health solutions that bridge research and commercialization.

The two organizations inked a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday at KAIST’s Meta Convergence Hall on the main campus.

This partnership will merge KAIST’s cutting-edge neuroscience research capabilities with HLB Genex’s expertise in brain health and healthcare business operations.

The collaboration aims to establish a framework to tackle the growing social challenges related to brain health, which have been exacerbated by rising stress levels and an aging population.

The institutions plan to work together on various aspects of research and development, including the creation of brain health content, verification of product functionality, and technical consulting.

KAIST will spearhead commissioned research and provide neuroscience-based technical guidance, while HLB Genex will focus on content planning and product development based on these findings. The partnership will extend to the commercialization and promotion of their jointly developed products.

Kim Do-yeon, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HLB Genex, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating that its partnership with KAIST’s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences will enable them to develop unique brain health solutions grounded in professional neuroscientific research. By linking research and development with commercialization, it aims to produce tangible results and strengthen the position in this competitive market.
