On Friday at 8:58:05 a.m. (Korean time), a magnitude 2.1 earthquake occurred approximately 31 kilometers (about 19.3 miles) southwest of Pyongsan, North Hwanghae Province, North Korea.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 14 kilometers (about 8.7 miles), with precise coordinates of 38.26° N latitude and 126.05° E longitude.

The Korea Meteorological Administration has determined that this seismic activity was likely a natural occurrence.
