BTS, the global K-pop sensation, is set to embark on a unique collaboration with the British Museum, one of the world’s most prestigious cultural institutions.

According to their label Big Hit Music, BTS will host an interactive program called the Korea Gallery Trail at the British Museum from July 6 to July 23 as part of their BTS The City Arirang – London initiative (hereafter The City London).

This innovative project aims to transform London into an immersive musical experience centered around Arirang, a cherished Korean cultural asset and the title of BTS’s latest album.

The Korea Gallery Trail, developed in partnership with the British Museum, carefully selects artifacts from the museum’s permanent collection that echo the themes of hope, resilience, and belonging inherent in Arirang, offering visitors a unique perspective on Korean culture.

The program showcases the essence of Korean heritage through carefully curated items: the Love Room, symbolizing new beginnings; the Moon Jar, representing universal humanity; exquisitely crafted gold earrings; and the culturally significant Sumaksae (roof tiles). Interestingly, the program draws inspiration from the Seongdeok Great King Bell, featured in track six, “No.29,” of BTS’s album.

Since their 2013 debut, BTS has skyrocketed to become a global pop phenomenon, with chart-topping hits like “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance.” Following a brief hiatus, the group made a triumphant return in March with their fifth studio album Arirang. The album’s title track “Swim,” along with fan favorites “Body to Body,” “Hooligan,” and “2.0,” have been dominating music charts worldwide.
