NCT 127 shared their excitement about delivering a stellar performance on the live broadcast of “America’s Got Talent.”

At a press conference held on Monday morning at the SKY31 Convention in Lotte World Tower, Seoul, the group discussed their recent appearance on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” live show on August 19.

The K-pop sensations kicked off their set with their hit track “Hero” (英雄; Kick It), igniting a wave of cheers and audience sing-alongs. They followed up with a dynamic live rendition of “Piñata,” a track from their latest album, which garnered an enthusiastic response.

Reflecting on their America’s Got Talent experience, Taeyong remarked that it was surprising to see people singing along and knowing the lyrics even before the official release. Performing for the judges brought back memories of the evaluation sessions. They were thrilled when they gave them a standing ovation.

Yuta chimed in about “Piñata,” saying that it’s an infectious tune that gets your head bobbing instantly. He thinks it’ll be a blast to perform with the fans. Haechan added that recording was intense – his voice was hoarse afterward. It was challenging, but he’s proud of how it turned out on the track.

NCT 127 is set to drop their seventh studio album, BLINGY, on various music platforms at 6:00 p.m. (Korean time) on Monday. The album showcases the group’s deep pride and unity as One Team, reaffirming their commitment to blazing their own trail. As NCT 127 marks their 10th anniversary this year, BLINGY serves as a retrospective of their collective journey over the past decade.

The title track “Blingy” is a hip-hop banger featuring distorted synths, pounding drum beats, and chanting choruses. The song incorporates elements of reggae and dubstep, reimagined through NCT 127’s unique lens to create a powerful sonic experience. Lyrically, it paints a picture of a dazzling presence that burns like an eternal flame, exuding confidence in their performance prowess and deep pride in their team.

The album also includes “Piñata,” an energetic track that promises to turn concerts into explosive celebrations; “Legacy,” which spreads positivity over their home base of Seoul; and “Step Up,” a defiant anthem about overcoming obstacles. Fans will also be treated to “127 Million Miles,” a heartfelt tribute to their supporters, among the nine diverse tracks on the record.

NCT 127 is gearing up for an extensive promotional campaign following the album’s release.
